Seborrhoea is an alteration in the function of the sebaceous glands, which cause an increase in the secretion of oil that ends up excessively greasing the hair and scalp. Greasy hair takes on a shiny, sticky appearance and accumulates dirt easily. The accumulated sebum often undergoes oxidative processes that lead to bad odour. Excess oil can accelerate hair loss.
Imbalances in the nervous system, hormonal factors, an unbalanced diet, certain drugs and highly degreasing shampoos, as well as handling the hair with the hands, brushing or environmental pollution, are among the causes of seborrhoea.
In some cases seborrhoea is closely related to pityriasis or dandruff. Pityrosporum ovale is an opportunistic fungus that degrades sebaceous triglycerides. This results in an increase in the level of free fatty acids, which are irritating and can also stimulate epidermal proliferative processes.
1.3 Dixidox de Luxe Peeling (200ML) | (500ML): Apply the exfoliant to your dry or damp scalp and massage. Leave on for 15 minutes and rinse thoroughly. Use once a week. The anti-seborrheic effect of the peel can be enhanced by adding about 8 sprays of Anti-seborrheic lotion 1.4. Mix and apply to the scalp.
1.1 Dixidox de Luxe Antiseborrheic Shampoo (200ML) | (500ML) and 2.1 Dixidox de Luxe Antidandruff Shampoo (200ML) | (500ML): Apply to the hair, massaging gently until it lathers. Leave on for a few minutes and rinse. It is recommended to alternate between the shampoos.
5.3 Dixidox de Luxe Mascarilla. Tratamiento Seda y Acero (200ML) | (500ML): Aplicar sobre el cabello húmedo desde la mitad del cabello hasta las puntas después del champú. Masajear y dejar actuar durante 5 minutos. Emulsionar y aclarar.
1.4 Dixidox de Luxe Antiseborrheic Lotion (100ML) | (200ML): Spray about 10 times onto your dry or damp scalp and massage. Use daily for 10 days. Gradually reduce the number of applications per week as sebum production normalises. It can also be used once a week as a preventive treatment.
